Spirit Week came to a close today with the traditional spirit assembly, in which students spent lunchtime in the Farmer Gym participating in activities such as tug-of-war and dodgeball to win spirit points.
Students wore their assigned color to represent their grade level, with Grade 9 wearing yellow, Grade 10 wearing green, Grade 11 wearing blue, and Grade 12 wearing red. Students could be seen with face paint and wearing silly props to support their grade.
Though each grade level put up a strong fight to win Spirit Week, Grade 12 won with a total of 882 points. Grade 11 followed with 732 points, Grade 10 with 498 points, and finally, Grade 9 with 470 points.
For Jonas Kolaja (’21), though upset by coming in second place, he still thoroughly enjoyed spirit day.
“Spirit day is always the best day of the whole year … the gym is always filled with passion and joy for every grade, and it was nice to see the whole high school coming together through competition,” he said.
