Ella Podurgiel is the News Editor: Print for The Standard and has been involved in journalism since Grade 5. She loves journalism as it is a way to represent, inform and learn about the ASL community, the city and the world at large. Podurgiel enjoys reporting about anything from the political climate to school clubs and events. Outside of The Standard, she is the Vice President of the Student Council and enjoys all types of writing, from poetry to screenplays. When not writing, Podurgiel can be found swimming, running or reading.
Maddy Whitman, Deputy Editor-in-Chief: Online
Maddy Whitman (’22) is the Deputy Editor-in-Chief: Online of The Standard. Whitman spent her Grade 11 year in the role of Media Director and was a Media Editor and staff writer in the two years prior. Whitman loves that she can combine her passions of photography and journalism to create work for The Standard. Outside of her role, Whitman enjoys baking, running, watching Formula 1 and following her football team, Fulham FC.
