New students voice their first thoughts, experiences at school

14 students new to the High School reflect upon their first impressions of ASL and London. Covering friends, classes, teachers and the transition to city life, many students said the transition fostered ups and downs.
Hadassah Olakanpo ('23) settles into her "dream school" after attending a British school. She said she plans to leave her mark on ASL by starting an African Literature Club. Olakanpo said she loves crew and English, specifically noting her appreciation of the Harkness-style discussions in English class. "I love it so much, [it's] so different from my old school."
