Giulia Scolari (25') is the News Editor: Print of The Standard and initially joined in Grade 9. With a zeal to explore various writing styles and genres, Scolari joined the newspaper to uncover a new passion. Outside the workspace, she can be spotted on the golf course or sitting at a piano.
Nuria Alvarez Martin, Social Media Editor
Nuria Alvarez Martin (’25) is the Social Media Editor of The Standard and initially joined the publication in Grade 9. She was drawn by the opportunities that social media gave her to explore her creative side. Alvarez Martin uses her passion for creative differences to draw in new viewers in different ways. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys various sports like volleyball and basketball and occasionally spends time with younger students to explore her passion for teaching.
Laila Taraporevala, Photography Editor
Laila Taraporevala (’26) is the Photography Editor of The Standard. She began journalism as an editor of the Middle School newspaper, The Scroll and joined The Standard in Grade 9. Taraporevala has a passion for sports stories, profiles and photography. Outside of the newsroom, she is a competitive dance soloist and co-leader of a community partnership. She loves baking, strength training and long walks with music.
