A message from Student Council President Issy Kelly
June 11, 2013
Student Council President Issy Kelly (’14) addresses Adam Koren’s (’14) recent resignation.
To the ASL Community,
The Student Council was saddened to hear of Adam Koren’s (’14) resignation from the position of Vice President. He has been a valued Student Council member over the past two years. I am extremely proud of each council member’s hard work and dedication. Elections for Student Council positions will be held at the beginning of next year. The council is a medium for student voice in the high school and is a governing body based in the democratic process. I am honored to be your President and look forward to the coming school year. Have a wonderful summer.
Sincerely,
Your President,
Issy Kelly

All of this seems rather uncalled for…. It doesn’t seem that the Standard has reported or done any research on any other opinions of this latest news. We have Adam’s opinion, which makes him look quite conceited, and then we have Issy’s reply, which doesn’t really address the issue at all. I understand that the Standard is censored and all by the admins, but none of this is too informative. Where is the reporting? All I have seen is Adam’s opinion on the subject.

Issy, I’m glad you took the high road and didn’t let Adam’s crap get to you. You deserve to be President not only because you won fairly, but because you are willing to go on, even when the going gets tough.
I’m proud to have Issy as our STUCO President.
