Nuria Alvarez Martin (‘25) is a member of the Media Team for The Standard. She began writing as a staff writer in her freshmen year due to her passion for creative writing and current events. Alvarez Martin was born and lived eight years in Spain, and is inspired to write culture articles representing her heritage. Outside of The Standard, Alvarez Martin plays volleyball, basketball and crew due to her love of teamwork and natural leadership qualities, constantly striving to improve herself and her team.
