Beginning Journalism Students

Grade 9 Dean Rodney Yeoh responds to emails in his office. After being a dean for eight years, Yeoh said he has a passion for both the position and his students. “I keep on telling the Grade 9 students the best part of my job as a grade level dean is really to be able to not just watch them grow, but to grow together with them,” Yeoh said.

Belinky writes to give others a voice in the ASL and global community. Outside of the publication, they are a part of the ASL robotics team, co-moderator for the Late Café and is an avid fan of graphic design.

Audrey Cushman (’26) is the Sports: Print Editor of The Standard. She joined The Standard in Grade 9 as a reporter in the Multimedia Journalism class, driven by her passion for writing. She enjoys using journalism to connect with the broader community and write pieces that express her opinions and raise awareness about current social issues. Outside of the newsroom, she loves playing volleyball and is one of the Student Ambassador leaders.
